He traded the Rocky Mountains for Berlin’s nightlife in 2000 —and still wonders if it was the right decision. With dry humor aimed squarely at Germans, his family, and himself, Portnoy performs in both English and German.
He’s a regular at top German comedy shows like NightWash, Quatsch Comedy Club, and Komische Nacht, and frequently hosts at Comedyflash, Downstairs Comedy Club (Berlin), and Schnack Standup (Hamburg). He remains undefeated in three appearances on Comedy Central Germany’s Roast Battle.
